The 1998 action comedy set in a   post-apocalyptic america, it follows the sword swinging guitar playing ‘Buddy’ travels to the city of ‘Lost Vegas’ to become the new king.

Set in 1960’s Nevada after Russia has defeated america and ‘Lost Vegas’ became the last strong hold of america with Elvis being crowd King. now the king is dead and now a new king has to be put in place people coming along include; the aforementioned Buddy, Death who represents heavy metal (and looks like Slash) along with many other musical men who try to stop Buddy or try to fight Death.

Along with that Buddy must face down; some kind of spacemen zombies, bounty hunting bowling team and what’s left of the Russian army (about 200 Russian men who fight our hero).

This movie is great fun but does come with a huge issue. the stupid little kid who Buddy is protecting, most of his dialogue is an ear splitting scream that makes me just want to punch that child in the fact till he lacks a face!. Buddy himself is really well acted and the fights in the movie are really well put together and pretty well shot in an old school kung-fu movie way.

The world that this film creates is really interesting world that i would honestly love to see more of, the cinematography, sound track and the designs of the main characters is really cool to look at and i am sure someone who knows more about classic rock and country music then i do will be able to spot more of the lawyer friendly cameos, where as myself i just see Buddy Holly and Slash fighting each other in the most epic way possible.

But, aside from the small child screaming i can really recommend this movie as a fun cheap ride and a well made stupid movie with a strange ending.
