Summit Entertainment was recently purchased by Lionsgate, whose CEO has expressed interest in continuing the Twilight saga beyond Breaking Dawn as either a film series or a television series, which really along with the graph above shows how much money twilight gets.
Is the 3rd most written about fiction on the world’s largest fanfiction website, coming after Harry Potter and Naruto, along with that the recent news of Twilight fan fiction would be ’50 shade’s of grey’ which started as a Twilight fan fiction, and when published the characters names where changed and properly a few other things so the author didn’t get sued properly.
But it has amade a large amout of money as shown by this chart below

‘a dragging in story line, good characters, how the characters interact and show how they feel’ (This is a quote from young teen target audience) ‘its exciting, a compelling story line, feel for the characters’ I disagree, but this is the target audience for the book, a young teen girl or older woman, as that is who the books where read by most it makes sense to target the largest audience.
Along with that the promotion for the films would be aimed at that audience, and with the need for press for the film would really try and make these placements, and with the bits of research I have done into news about twilight there is very little negative, out side of the latest news about the co-stars love life, there was very little bad press that was put out about the first film at all.
But with the films it has also lead to criticism, the way vampires act and are in the series, the bland acting, the plot holes, the wooden actors., the main characters, the love story. With all of these things lead to both criticisms of the film and the actors, but as it made a large amount of money, as shown above, it really wouldn’t be stopped by the bad press of people who don’t like the film or the criticisms as it was a money making machine, if films by Michael Bay and the resident evil series has shown, you really don’t need to be a good film to make money or keep a series going. ‘It allows me to envision what true love is’ another part of the target audience ‘it is so good’ as I asked someone else.
