Poker Night 2 review and ideas for 3

Playing Poker with Brock Samson, Claptrap, Ash Williams, Sam and Max with GLaDOS as the dealer.


Poker Night 2 is the sequel to Tell Tale Games Poker game ‘Poker Night at the Inventory’ both sharing a simlar premise ‘lets play poker with some awesome characters’ and for £4 i really think this game is worth learning to play poker to play.

Now, i’m not very good at all, but i still had fun with this game even just watching the games finish after i lose all of my money. but even then the game builds on the ideas of the orignal being able to customzie the interdementional setting of ‘The Inventroy’ with chips, cards and poker matt and if you get all three of the same the frist character elimated gets taken out of the game in a speicel way, the character who’s setting it is gets a make over. If you get all of the Borderlands set, Claptrap gets a suit and tie get up, and Steve shoots the first person elimated out. over all this game is alot of fun even if you don’t really like Poker becuase of the characters involed.

I know three proberly won’t be coming for a long time and i still have a lo tof find out about poker Night 2 1st, but i still have a few ideas for the characters.Well thats my brain spent, either way this is just an amazing idea for a game series. a big list of characters i would personal like to see in future instalments of the game if they make another. either way GLaDOS should stay as dealer

Now, Ideas for three:

  1. Axe Cop. This guy has gotten pretty popular for being written by a 5 year old kid, he has two animated serieses made by two different people and i’m pretty sure one is going to be on TV. a popular webcomic and a few graphic novels. With his popularty and just genreul awsomeness it would be epic to see Axe Cop and his parnther Dinosaur Soilder (or which ever part person/animal/furit he happens to be at the time)

  1. Dr.McNinja: This is much more of a personal love for the character and the comic he is from and i would just love for him to have a voice and motion like Axe Cop has, and as the good doctor has crossed over with webcomics newest star. and in the 1st Poker night Tycho from Penny Arcade was one of the players so why not another Webcomic character.

  1. Deadpool: Ask anyone who knows me through comic books.Deadpool is my fav character ever. and i would love to see him in a simple little game where i could enjoy him breaking the fourth wall. With the release of the Deadpool Video game and moive…maybe…proberly…someday, it would be good press for Marvel to intro one of there Characters in a game like this, and why not?

  1. Sterling Archer: With the incluesion of Brock Samson, The Ventre Bros Killer serpreme, I would love to see the worlds greatest Spy in a video game, FX’s Archer is a pretty popular show as well so its really no downside for anyone to inculde him in this game.

  1. Bender Bending Rodriguez: Everyones favourite alocholic future robot, it would be great to have him in this game, though quite unlikey with the series being cannceled, again -_-, but its shown in the show Bender is an avid poker player and a pretty lucky guy all around, and it would be great to see futurama characters in a game again

  1. Nathan Explosion (Or just any member of Dethklok, or there Manger): With the incluesion of Ventre Bro’s means that Tell Tale Games are able to get adult swim characters, Metalopolyse is an amazing show about the greatest Heavy Metal Band in the world, and proberly the only other virutal band that is still popular apart from Gorillaz.

  1. Murdoc Niccals: Speaking of virutal bands, why not the bass player for the band Gorizlla, the statanist cockney green skinned violent guy is definatly the type to play a lot o fpoker and lose all his money.

  1. Another Team Fortress 2 Character: Poker Night 1 had the heavy, i would quite like to see another one of Red Or Blue Team, Why not The Spy or even the The Scout.

  1. Peter Griffin Or Stan Smith:  I’m a fan of both family guy and American Dad, and would be pretty happy to see either of them in this setting.

  1. A Storm Tropper: With the closure of Lucas Arts, this could be a good way to help soften the blow, and seeing a storm tropper in a comdeic setting is allways pretty fun. Such as the Darkhorse comic ‘Tag and Bink’ and College Humors Series ‘Troppers’

  1. One of the Left 4 Dead Survivors: There all pretty cool characters, and its pretty hard to pick between all 8 of them, but i am sure they would brick some intresting storys to the table with there zombie based adventures.

  1.  Lee Everett and Clementine: Both from my first point and click game, and one I haven’t finished so any spoilers and I will cut you! But both are from Tell Tale Games ‘The Walking Dead’ and properly the best walking dead game out there, it is . But it would be great to see these two around. I have only finished episode one and they’re just nice characters

  1. The Main Character From Statints Row Series: The wacky rip off of GTA, Staints Row has come into its own as something else, which is a good thing, i do like the over the top nature of the game but it has lost some of its comedy, but if Tell Tale Games can use the default protagonist from the trailers then it would be cool to see what else he could say. Maybe be able to switch voices/gender like in saints row.

  1.  El Presidente From  The Tropico games: The Leader of whatever small island you were leading at the time, i love this game series and the humor it has, and i would love to see this guy/style of humor in another game.

  1. Wheatly From Portal 2: Not sure how it would work, but it would be fun never the less to have this little guy back in a game. and it would be even more fun if GLaDOS stayed dealer

  1. Red Vs Blue Character: One of the most popular machinma series Red Vs Blue, and from a company that is one of the biggest Internet made companys ever ‘Rooster Teeth’ it would mean getting some rights from Bungie/mircosoft but i would love to see one of these amazing characters playing poker and talking shit, which is what they do best

  1. Old Spice Guy: Why not? Either Terry Or Mustafa
