Moon Knight can be summed up pretty easily and basically as ‘Batman with mental health issues’, powered by Egyptian spirits, money and even mental issues.
Reintroducing Marc Spector and re-explaining why he is so messed up, giving a pretty smart and really cool idea of what Marc Spector has his multiple personality disorder and his very broken psyche, for which i won’t ruin as it’s really just cool to read it over with some amazing art to go with it.
Set in (find the setting), Marc Spector is now a ‘consultant’ for the police using the identity of Mr.Knight. clad in a bright white suit and a matching white mask the aforementioned Mister.Knight as well as the more heroic styled ‘Moon Knight’ with a flowing cape, talking limo and some kind of jet guilder that lets him fly about beating up crime and protecting the ‘Travelers of the night’.
The following stories have simple names and range from a SHEILD agent turned cyborg monster and just saving a kidnapped girl from some thugs, the art is fantastic and one of the storys i have no wish to ruin uses its plot device so well and shows how amazingly creative both Ellis and Shalvey can be and hw much they can take advantage of the setting of the mind.
One of my new favorite paper back comics and i can’t wait to pick up the rest.
