Staints Row, former clone of the popular Grand Thief Auto (GTA) series has coming into its own with Staints Row 2, the mix with serious and over the top humor that made it a golden game and one i would highly recommend to anyone. orignaly the main competitor to GTA’S open world crime game, fighting to control an underworld from other gang leaders. Where as GTA took and ran with the more serious and darker tones of the criminal story, where as Staints Row went with the over top, movie like violence leaning towards the wacky and the unrealistic and so we ended up with Staints Row the Third, having taken the wacky parts of staints row 2 and then gone to the moon and back with it, stopping off in a few other places too.
So Saints Row has changed, from the GTA clone…into somthing much more, the over the top nature and sillyness now being the main compass points for the series this allows the games to go anywhere and do any. With the way i see it, the reason Staints Row the 3rd is not as good as Saints Row 2 is not because of the graphic differences or even the new direction in story but it is infact the extra content that is paided DLC, where as you get the feeling that if this was Saints Row 2 only the story based RPs would have to be paided for, the item/clothing ones would come with the base game from the started. Added to this the lack of customisation made the game feel a lot worse, with limited options when compared with staints row 2.
So all in all, this could really be a good sign of change in a game that have an idea nad have chosen to run with t, both losing and gianing rans at the same time, either way Staints Row has come a long way.
