Photography End game

Photography project reasoning.

Why chess pieces: I wished to push my own skills to create something strange and different, pushing my self technologicaly. It is a creative and over the top way to try and make myself live on through art. Not just through photos but also through miniature statues and one of the oldest games in existence.

As well as this I took a great interest in the work of Slinkachu with the mini world, to create. Like his art i am hoping to tell a small story with each character.

Chess has a heavy themes running through it, with it relating to war, intelligence and of a higher class. And both wish to praise these ideals but mock them at the same time. As is my way.

1. Pawn: A minion and very much a sacrificial piece, I have represented myself here as a customer service work (Through the use of my own Starbucks uniform)

2. Knight: A powerful and protective serious figure, Shown riding a Tiger instead of a horse (I like cats). And holding a sword. I can see myself as this figure of power and productivity but in a much more fantastical way as I have none of these things for real.

3. Queen: Matching the king with the bright red kimono but instead of a crown wearing a much more feminine mask. Striking some kind of feminine action pose (Saloir moonish?)

4. King: A Crown, a red kimono, a shirt and Tie. Powerful sysbloms with still a silly side.Looking extra fat and over the top

5. Rook: A over the top masculine figure of awesomness

6. Bishop: I have very little faith when it comes to religion, I am agnostic at the least, so I was thinking I was going for the more scientific root in a lab coat and holding a tablet.

Why 3D printing: I think it really adds to the sealism vibe, with miniature versions of myself. And if I am making chess pieces it would be best to make them

It create something that is physical and touchable, these things last longer to me and are longer lasting then just pictures on the internet/laptop.
