Describe the object: This object is a collection of art from my deceased fathers tattoo artwork, it is a collection of sketches and designs and full pieces of art. these are all kept in the same book, the only one that isn’t is that tattoo on my skin which wsa of my dad’s design.

What does the object make you feel?: These tattoos are the only thing i have of my biological dad, that isn’t just a photo, its something he created himself, all though i don’t really have memory of the man i feel close to the person who is half of the reason i am even part of the world. so these images are a mixed sense of a lost chance because of fate, nostalgic for what inspired me to draw as well as memories of my first tattoo.

What memories does it evoke: The nostalgic feeling of memories for when i was first inspired to start drawing (a hobby i had followed for a good few years before i fell out of practice), along with this what little memories i have of my biological dad do come back (..Which honestly isn’t allot)

If the object were lost what would remind you of these events/sense of identity? If these objects where lost or destroyed i would be an indescribable levels of devastated if i lost all of this original and beautifully put together work. and if the one from my skin was taken i would proberly be worried about either the lasers or the missing skin.

Next record what the object means to at least one other member of your family and what memories it evokes

Describe the object: what is the object and why is this important?

What does the object make them feel? What emotions do they feel? Why? Importance?

What memories does it evoke: why are these memories important?

If the object were lost what would remind them of these events/sense of identity?

Reflect upon the differences between these comments and yours. What do your findings say about memory and what are the uses of memory. What do your findings say about our sense of belonging and family?

Gather and collate your notes, pictures and reflections in a diary, on your laptop or blog. Think about how you will begin to make an archive in which to record and organise these findings.
